Welcome to the home of the Ohio Magic.
The Ohio Magic Softball organization was founded in 1998. The first Magic team was a 14U team that consisted of girls exclusively from Boardman, Ohio and was coached by Bill Amero, Carl Centofanti and Jim Feret. This first edition of Lady Magicians enjoyed a considerable amount of success, considering they were a first year team. They took First Place in one tournament, finished Second twice and finished Third once, as well. In addition, they participated in the NSA "B" National tournament in Columbus, Ohio where they finished in 9th place out of a pool of 95 teams. The first Ohio Magic softball team laid a solid foundation for other Magic teams to follow and build upon.
In the following years, the Ohio Magic softball organization grew to include teams in several different age groups. Likewise, the territory covered by the Magic teams expanded to include girls from the entire Mahoning and Trumbull County area. Teams from the Magic softball program have participated, with a great deal of success, in tournaments played in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Canada.
Proudly, several former Ohio Magic softball players have gone on to play softball at the collegiate level. They are:

Throughout the years, several different adults have volunteered their time and efforts to Coach the Magic teams. It is through their hard work and timeless efforts that the Ohio Magic Softball program has been able to enjoy the growth and success that they have experienced. The list of Magic Coaches through the years includes: Bill Amero, Carl Centofanti, Jim Feret, Dave Matz, Skip Deardurff, Marty Gaudiose, John DiDomenico, Andy Sirak, John Prystash, Marvin Pancake, Rick Ford, Ken Franklin, Barry DiBacco, John Calo, Frank Martin, Jody Cercone, Brian Williams, Len Holman, Chuck Ramsey, Marco Marinucci, Mike Trell, Joe Gabriele, Keith Huck, Tom O'Neil, Becky Ugran, Laura Amero, Melody Lodyn, Bob Jones, Melanie Olsen, Rick Schafer, Joe DeCapita, Rob Andrews, and Norm Schrader.
Currently, there are three different Ohio Magic teams in the 12U, 14U, and 16U age divisions.
